  I love the power that this solar pump has. I have a nice steady stream of water coming up from the pump and into my bird bath. The pump also continues to work even if the panel becomes partly shaded.It was a bit confusing with all the parts that came with this pump. Putting it together was easy, but I wish there was a better explanation of all the extra parts, that were included, and what they were for.

  Lasted only 3 months before it stopped working. However, when contacting seller for their warranty the customer service was exemplary. Fast response and they made it right surprisingly quickly sending out a new replacement unit. Rare to get excellent service like this now days. With that in mind, even though it failed relatively quickly I still give them 4 stars with the great customer service. Note also that the pump really pushes out the water for being just solar powered. Very happy with how it functions in my bird bath.

  This solar fountain pump is great and the battery backup is a must have. The battery will keep it working when there is no sun that hits the solar panel. Very easy to clean the sponge filter which I do once a week. Also using an algaecide helps with keeping the algae in check. There is also an adjustable slide to vary the amount of water coming out but it is purely mechanical and not electrical.Update: After 3 months, the first fountain pump had issues with the battery not holding a charge and the pump no longer working when the sun was not hitting the panel directly. I messaged the seller and they sent a full replacement in a day or so. The second pump and battery is working great. Excellent customer service!!

  There is nothing good and a lot of bad about this pump. The design has many faults and quality is extremely bad. There is no disconnect of the wire from solar panel to the pump, pump can't lift water no higher than about 1 foot, pump parts come apart easily, connecting plastic tubing to the pump is very difficult and still it is impossible to avoid leaks, backup battery is not replacable and lasts only about an hour after sunset, water flow is very weak even in direct sun, otherwise just a trickle.In short look for some other pump to avoid frustration. Unfortunately it seems there is no good solar products in the market.

  We purchased this to run our shishi odoshi fountain and it runs great and works in bright shade for us. It works better than other solar fountains we have tried in the past.

  Was nice while it worked. The different attachments are great for changing the flow, but ordered at the end of May, and by end of October, it stopped pumping randomly. So about 5 months of use, and it’s a small container pond.

  Would have given this 5 stars. This pump worked perfectly and performed as we hoped it would. We created a small pond with a bubbling rock. The pump with its ability to store solar power was perfect; we slipped the tubing up through a hole we created in a shallow rock and it bubbled into a small pond. The birds love it!BUT—after just over one month, the pump stopped working. We followed directions cleaning it and we feel like we did everything right but it no longer functions. Not sure what to do now. We’re 3days past our 30 day return period.Gail C

  My hummingbirds love this fountain as it keeps working on cloudy days and at dusk. I have four poposoap fountains and one pump stopped working after two months, past Amazon return date. Customer service was great. They sent me a new one which I received in a few days. I will buy more of the solar fountains and highly recommend them. Easy to install too.

  We bought this solar-powered fountain to get water movement in our birdbath, which is in a shady location. The solar panel is velcro'ed to the top of a fence about 10 feet away and gets no direct sun until late morning because it faces mostly West.Every morning I am surprised to see the fountain running well before 8 am, when there's no direct sun on the solar panel. The photos were taken around 7:30 am.This is a great setup that would be still better if there were more non-splash options for the fountain, for those of us with smaller birdbaths. With most of the spray options, water splashes outside of the birdbath and needs frequent replenishment. If you have a larger (more than 18" across) area of water, the assortment of nozzles should be excellent. The suction cups on the pump could be better, and they likely won't work at all with an unglazed concrete birdbath.This setup has many features that others don't. For example, the pump is safeguarded by shutting off when there's insufficient water. The solar panel is efficient, requiring little light to power the motor. There's a battery to keep the fountain running when there is insufficient light. And having the remote solar panel means more flexibility in locating your birdbath. It need not be in the sun.Unfortunately, the wire somehow got damaged in the first 6 weeks we owned this fountain. The conductors inside the outer insulation are very, very thin. We made one repair successfully, but the second one didn't hold and we noticed additional damage to the wire's outer insulation that stopped the fountain from working. I got in touch with the company and they promptly shipped a replacement under their liberal warranty terms. The new fountain is up and working, and I greatly appreciate the customer support.If you buy this, I'd strongly suggest that the wire not be allowed to trail on the ground where it might sustain damage. And a note to the manufacturer: consider upgrading the quality of the wire used between the solar panel and pump in this product.

  The parts are pretty cheap and there are so many little plastic pieces. With that said, the solar panel is pretty solid and the pump has decent flow. The battery seems to work well, giving the pump a stable flow even when there isn't full sun. The cable between the solar panel and the pump is a fixed length and permanently attached. The mounting poles for the solar panel are very lightweight plastic and I don't foresee them lasting very long. Also I'm not sure how long the battery health will stay optimal - this opinion is based on the quality of the rest of the materials.
