I'm happy with this soldering iron! It is 100% copy of the TS100 soldering iron!Works well and I have no problems with it!
Normally I have 2 irons, one indoors which is usually a combo that does SMD with hot air and a few other things, then a pen style iron to carry around with me. The portable iron I have is a Hakko, so not a cheap piece of kit - and this little iron exceeds it in every way. It heats up faster, holds the heat longer, and cools down quickly. I bought a little pencil case on Amazon as well as a selection of additional tips. I dont know why I didnt switch sooner!
Update:They have sent the pictured power supply from Amazon warehouse and a new xt60 barrel is on its way from China warehouse. Customer support was friendly and responsive.Primary concern the XT60 to barrel style cable- the barrel is bent, will probably work but for how long? Would like to be sent a new one of those. Different power source than pictured much shorter wire and (brick plugs directly into outlet) Would have preferred as pictured now will need to use an extension cord. Picture differs from what shown on all images for this product listing and versions.
Easy to update the firmware to IronOS. Lost my TS100 during a move. This is a great replacement and a fantastic portable soldering iron.
Holds temp well, small size gives you more working room, good pricing.
This is a great little product at a great price. It comes with a power supply but I built a DC XT60 connector cable that allows me portability by using LIPo battery packs. Highly recommend
Great!
This SEQURE SQ001 is amazing !....just as amazing as that other great soldering iron wonder, the TS100...and it's no wonder....it's a clone of the TS100, for about $20 less ? I had no idea they were clones till I had a lock-up bug with the as-delivered 2.18? firmware from Sequre, so down-loaded and installed their latest 3.1 (actually marked 3.0 on their website)....it worked fine, solved the "stuck" problem when I switched it from Right-hand to Left-hand display orientation and couldn't get it to respond after that....so started searching on "Sequre SQ001 firmware" and discovered "IronOS" ! 😮 AMAZING ! This little, space-age soldering wonder, the TS100, even has it's own hobbyist custom Firmware development program out there, FREE to download, that adds and perfects features....and I found it mentioned somewhere on the IronOS site the SQ001 is a clone of the TS100....so I downloaded and successfully installed the latest IronOS....and it's working perfectly ! 🥳 The only "downsides" are I really liked the clever animated icons in the stock SQ001 firmware, which are gone in the updated Sequre 3.0 firmware, and in IronOS...but both options fixed the bug I experienced in the as-delivered 2.18 firmware (or was it 2.15?🤔)...and both updated firmware options seem a little harder to read because they're using smaller "fonts." But, regardless of FW version, what's not to like about a slightly cheaper TS100 in the Sequre SQ001 ?? 🥳P.S. my primary need was for SMT rework (Surface Mount Technology), and the included B2 tip is really a bit too fat for that....do yourself a favor and order their excellent TS-C1 for SMT work...really nice, fine tip.P.P.S. I just remembered a slightly flaky quality issue with the SQ001....the hex wrench they included with my iron doesn't fit the set-screw holding the tip in place...it's just slightly too big for the screw ! But, possibly because Sequre knows about the issue?, there were 3 spare screws in the bag with the wrench, that DO fit the wrench. But I had one of these cool multi-tip sets that had the correct 1.5mm hex tip needed for the as-received set screw, so I just used that....also, the instruction sheet is fairly poor....you really have to read between the lines and experiment to understand navigating controls and configuration...but that's true of the superior IronOS too....so jump in and figure it out...it's worth it !Really glad I bought this updated 21st century soldering iron....oh...forgot to mention more "amazing"....after initial fire-up of ~30 seconds to 300°C working temp, later times are down around 8 to 10 seconds...Totally AMAZING ! 😮🥳
hard to program
Love it. Got it on sale and flashed it with IronOS. The non-oblong buttons kind of irked me at first, but I have gotten used to it now.Beware, the top screw for me did not fit with the included hex key and I had to go into my toolbox to grab a key to get it out. Weirdly though, the extra screw head fit with the key but not the one that was already in the body. The included sponge is very thin, I'd recommend getting a better one but at least you can rest it on the included stand. The barrel jack to +/- is useful, you can hook that up to a usb-c trigger board and get 65W that way :)
