I purchased this leaf blower to carry in my RV for the purpose of blowing leaves and grass from the pad at camping spots (rather than a broom). It is super-lite and blows pretty good (not what my Stihl backpack blower does) but pretty darn good. I was impressed by amount of blowing I could do on one battery charge. I've taken the blower into the house and use it on my porches and in the garage. Much easier than brooming everything off. My only complaint is that it did not come with two batteries. Worth the money
I didn't buy these for "leaf blowing", but to replace canned air. Let's cut to the quick of it, canned air, I've measured at about 40MPH and this at over 100MPH my meter couldn't hit that high. Meaning the claims on this thing seem to be accurate.Comparing:-Build: Alloyman, this feels like ABS plastic or a more robust plastic-Battery: Alloyman, the batteries for this are just plain, and you have to remove the battery to charge it, is interesting. Alloyman's battery has a meter built in, so you can see at a glance what's left in it. Also, since I bought the package, meant the second battery came the next day. Where Alloyman's comes both in the box and has a more official looking charger than just a barrel jack. THOUGH ironically the batteries are interchangeable.-IN-BOX ACCESSORIES/ATTACHMENTS: Shintyool HANDS DOWN, NO COMPETITION. I mean if you're going to "market" your "leaf blower" as a "vacuum" as well, have some actual vacuum attachments Alloyman. OOH you have a little bag and that's it. I prefer the Shintyool's default "leaf blower" attachment, even though it's way cheaper feeling than the thick TPU like rubber of the Alloyman. The reason? It's shorter and slightly more narrow in size. Which for what I bought these for, as a replacement for canned air, having that shorter nozzle is way more helpful. The Shintyool also has "narrow" nozzle attachments. And they REALLY cut down on the output power of this thing. nearly halving it.-At the task it was made for: NEITHER, look at the size. NOW this isn't to say that either don't have a place outside and with leaves, totally does. Like gutters, windows, car, bikes, small tasks.-Features: Shintyool, since at least it offers a "LOCK" so you don't constantly have to hold down the trigger. Alloyman forces you to keep it depressed. THOUGH, the Alloyman is analog, meaning the more pressure the more air it releases.-Power: Alloyman, by a good margin with the default nozzle. The Shintyool maybe depressed my arm about 1/4in and the Alloyman did about 1/2in. I tried measuring it with my wind meter I bought for my PC case to check air flow, and both overloaded it, which it maxes out at 100MPH. This one didn't have a rating on it for speed, just RPM rating, and I can confidently say, both are true to their claims. There's no 100,000,000 RPM nonsense here. The 16,000RPM of this motor, I 100% believe and buy, since again, that wind meter (I do have another one that can support up to like 500MPH, but can't find it) maxes out at just shy of 10K RPM, and this overloaded it. Meaning it only had 6,000 more to make up for. I think it easily covers that difference.-Weight: kind of a tie, maybe Shintyool is slightly lighter, but not by much. BOTH aren't great for long periods of time, they're not SUPER HEAVY, but maybe 3lbs each. The issue is how you use this. Since this is smaller, it's more forearm manipulation. Where with like a 10lbs leafblower, you're using your whole arm and body. If Shintyool is like 3lbs (since it only says the battery weight), the Alloyman is a half-pound more. I ended up being able to measure the Alloyman and it is indeed about 3.5LBS.-Noise: Equal, both are annoying and shrill. They're not deafening loud, but you notice them. Which, to be frank, I rather they be loud as to not sacrifice power. Conclusion:While this lacks the accessories kit as Shintyool's it makes up for it in power. Also, the batteries that this comes with has a built in meter which is nice. Also nice that that meter turns itself off. And if you're wondering, yes the batteries are 100% interchangeable and both even feature a barrel jack by the two contacts. Though Alloyman's comes with a proper slide-in charger like you'd get on professional power tools. Seems to turn off when the battery registers as full, as well. Not something you can take granted in these lesser expensive products. I just wished there was a way to buy accessories for this to make it a better vacuum or like Shintyool had inflation nozzles which was nice. Accessories aside, I'd rather have the power and at 17%-20% more power than Shintyool means it's better at dust cleaning. And I tested it against canned air. Both at about 12inch distance did about the same job, up close due to the narrow nozzle of canned air, it could do a better job. THOUGH with the Shintyool attachments that narrowed its diameter for pool toy inflation, it also DRASTICALLY cut down power like over 50%. I recommend this for light tasks as stated, I did try it as a leaf blower around my pool where the leaves were dry, and it worked, but I have a proper leaf blower that's also cordless that does it better. Also this comes with two batteries in the box. The Shintyool was a bundle deal, meaning the second battery came in a different shipment, but did give the benefit of coming with a slide-in charger.
I wanted a more compact, lightweight blower to clean up my desert rock yard. When this arrived, I laughed at the size of the box, and the unit, when I took it out. I thought it looked and felt like a kids' toy! There is not much to put together, which is nice, as the instructions won't tell you much anyway. I charged up the first battery; it did take longer than advertised, but I was in no rush to use it. Once it was charged, I tried it out and was very impressed with the wind power it creates. I really love the control - it is not a "low" and "high" speed; rather it is controlled strictly by the pressure you put on the trigger and that is really a great feature. You don't end up applying so much air that everything is flying around. I also do my carport driveway and works perfectly. Now please keep in mind, I am only blowing off desert rocks for my gardens of debris, but it works really well. I don't know that this would be an adequate blower if you were trying to blow leaves from a grass yard. I would think it would work pretty good on a small yard; a large one just not sure. I like the fact that this came with two battery packs, so once the first one is used, you can get it in the charger and use the second one to do more work. Since I rarely am using the blower "full power", I get quite a bit of time on one battery packs. I can definitely say that this is a great lightweight unit for cleaning up messes such as what I encounter. Also, a nice feature on the unit is a button you can press to see approximately how much power is left in the battery. I was using mine and it quit working; the lights did not come on, so I knew it was time to swap out the batteries. I have not tried the suction feature, but I do believe it will work quite well, as when I have gotten the unit close to my jogging shorts, it "pulls" the material right to the suction opening. With all this being said, I recommend this unit, especially if you are working with a smaller area. Thank you!
this blower looks like a toy but it definitely is not -- I live in SC with a lot of trees behind our backyard fence -- we get thousands of small whirly bird seed pods all over our property every day -- they blow into the concrete expansion grooves of the concrete driveway and extended concrete rear patios -- there are 3 of them approximately 10 'x 10' with decorative grooves in them -- with the 2 included 4.0 AH batteries, I can blow out the 2 car garage, the 24' x 30' driveway and the 3 rear patios, even with all extra time it takes because of the grooves -- it holds it's own in a light breeze but struggles against unfavorable winds but then again so does my large gas powered blower -- the tubes are small so you can only get so much volume out of the blower but you definitly get a strong force of air -- I've even had success after a rain -- the noise level is lower than an indoor vacuum cleaner when only the motor is on, not with the brushes beating up the carpet -- definitly quieter than a shop vac -- you can carry on a conversation while this is running without screaming -- the switch is a little hard to pull and a bit difficult to keep it running on the lower speeds -- the harder you pull the faster it runs -- much of what I do could be done at the lowest speed if I could control it better -- a speed lever that maintains the desired speed like my big blower does would be nice -- if you release the switch it shuts off saving a little power but also very convinent if you want to put it down or move to another area -- who among us has not blown something off that you didn't want to while you are moving to another area -- since I can clear everything off at high speed it's not a big deal -- when the charge is about run out the blower shuts off with no run time at a lower speed before it shuts off (Lithium Batteries, right!!) -- others have written about the battery charge and run time but this is such a subjective thing -- ask yourself this -- If the battery shows fully charged out of the box, why does it take around an hour to show full charge on the charger? -- the 4 power remaining lights cover a range of power, not the exact power -- charging time depends on the temperature and so does run time -- how long did you run it at high speed or a lower speed? -- how often was the trigger released while moving around or just resting your finger because of the spring-loaded trigger -- the vacuum nozzle is a more flexible attachment -- probably rubber -- it would be awkward to vacuum something without a hose attached -- there is plenty of suction though -- I vacuumed the sawdust off of my chop saw and it did fine -- this design is available under several different labels and colors -- with a carry case or maybe a hose for the vacuum feature -- I chose this one primarily because of the 2 ea 4Ah batteries -- if you are only doing a front porch and a walkway the single 2Hr battery might be fine, otherwise opt for this package -- if you watch the price daily or have the add on coupon extension for Chrome they all get to around the same lowest price -- this design changes price frequently
We have a small patio and 2 car driveway. I am obsessed with keeping leaves and small debris off of the surfaces. Things like leaves, small twigs, and dust. This inexpensive little blower gets the job done. It will not help with a fall leaf clean up but it’s lightweight, runs longer than I’ve ever required and has a small footprint for storage. It is small but effective for our purposes.
I was very pleased when I first received this leaf blower but that turned into disappointment. I had just finished blowing the leaves off my deck and walkway with my neighbor’s larger corded leaf blower. It did a great job but the cord was a real nuisance and the blamed thing was sooo heavy. Yes, it was an older model. When I found this super-lightweight blower on Amazon and read the favorable reviews, I had to order. I tested it right away and noted immediately that it was not AS powerful as the corded model I had borrowed. Still for my purposes, I was impressed. Other than wet leaves, it did a good job of whisking away autumn debris. That’s what accounts for the good 2 stars of my review. The parts list in the minimal user manual, is incomplete and the parts seem misnamed. There are two nozzle pieces and a sort of extension piece, tho’ those are named backwards. What I would call the “extension” they call the “long tube”. It is made of two pieces of plastic that are snapped together. When I attached that tube to the blower, despite “snapping” into place, it just falls out of the blower itself. The other end of the tube has the separate piece above mentioned and that immediately fell off. I can snap it back together but it just falls apart again. So, the long tube is broken, doesn’t fit properly and therefore is useless. I could have fixed the separated end by gluing it together but why should I have to do that with a brand new product? And the end that was supposed to snap into the blower didn’t, so that was a deal breaker.I had also read in the reviews that this device works as a vacuum. That part is very poorly designed. You have to insert one of the tubes in the input port and vacuum into and thru the engine. A very small vacuum bag attaches to the output port. Another reviewer mentioned vacuuming up cobwebs and I thought I could use it for that as well. But the angle that the tube attaches makes it incredibly cumbersome to hold. I test vacuumed up some small leaf debris on my floor (my house is in the woods, so leaves inside are part of life) and found it DID vacuum stuff up, but it didn’t all make it into the bag. A lot of it seemed stuck in the fan or motor. The user manual requested that we not return the item to place of purchase but contact the manufacturer directly. That I did and stated my issues to them in an email (as described above) and included a photo of the broken part. It took a couple days before I got this response:“Hello, the vacuum function is only suitable for dust suction. The leaf blower can only be connected to a long piece of pipe, not two pieces. Hope it helps.”Of course, this did not help and was inaccurate. The illustration of the blower on Amazon clearly shows two pieces of tube being used. And why include an “extension” or “long” tube if it wasn’t to be used. My photo of the separated (or broken) tube wasn’t addressed at all. So, it was rather poor customer service. I responded to them that their answer was not helpful but I did not hear back again. To summarize, parts didn’t connect properly, one part was broken, blower assembly not secure and the vacuum function was limited and, I suspect, over time will jam the motor. I’m returning to Amazon and I’m looking for recommendations for a similar model but one without the issues this model has.
The product works great for the few times I actually used used it for my small patio and my cars since I have a lot of trees in my area. However when it comes to charging the batteries , there's a gap between the battery and the charging unit. I doesn't charge. Absolutely nothing happens. I've reach out to the buyer through Amazon based on my 1 year warranty and still have not been notified by them for battery replacement or charger. Money waisted on a needed product.
Could be almost perfect for it's purpose: garage, porch, patio ... Light and quite powerful. When you do the sweep (motion) the extension gets loose and you have to re-tighten it. A bit of a bummer, but we'll - it's a $40 tool, so no big deal
The design is a little wonky. The intake is on the inside so it does get caught on your clothing from time to time. Battery life is decent and it provides decent power. I used it for 3 weeks for about 5 min. every other day an it stayed charged.
Great little blower. I had some issues with the tube attachment configuration. You slip the tube onto the blower housing and twist so that some real small 'nubs' lock it into place. There is a rubber tube and a plastic tube. (So, both rubber and plastic nubs). On my 1st unit, the little nubs on the rubber tube broke off right after I started using it. The company graciously provided a brand new blower. When I received the replacement I 'permanently' attached the PLASTIC tube to the blower housing by drilling a hole through the housing/tube and inserting a bolt and wing nut through the hole. This is working perfectly but I now store the blower with the tube attached although I can easily remove the tube. I don't use the vacuum feature on this.I really like this blower and purchased another for my mother-in-law. I modified hers too. For the price, you can't beat this. Just be careful when twisting the attachments on and off not to snap off these nubs.
