Bought this because my gas powered blower needed repair. The value this product brought to my outdoor maintenance was great. You will need an extension cord for small jobs and even large jobs if you have enough cording it works very well. Small, light efficient and at a bargain price. I tried high end battery models but the batteries do not last very long. It will not replace my gas model but works in the interim. Gas or electric is the only way to go if have a large area and do not want to work in 30 minute shifts.
Bought it for my dad to help clear out stuff in the backyard and he says it has been working great and has had plenty of power for what he needs from it.
This works well for clearing leaves and debris from around the house and in flower beds. However, my primary purpose for buying it was to help me keep gutters clean. It excels at the gutter cleaning work due to its power, size, and weight. It's a well made and nicely designed product at a very reasonable price.
Purchased to blow out the garage, and shed, clear off porch, and patio. I have a large gas-powered Stihl for big projects, but I just wanted something I could grab quickly for fast clean-ups. I wanted it to be corded so there were no batteries to keep charged and replaced. I also wanted something small for easy storage. It's not the most powerful beast but it works great for my needs and intended use. Price was great.
Works well and lightweight enough for an elderly woman to complete the yardwork yet reasonably priced
Yeah, this thing is absolutely worth the price. So long as you realize this is a corded blower, and that's what you want, then you won't be disappointed. It got a good section of leaves that I've been ignoring up no problem, all wet still half frozen in spots, came right up with just a bit of waving the blower.I have a pretty big yard and I had no problem doing it with my old corded blower, this ones a bit smaller and lighter, yet more powerful. The old one still works great but my mom borrowed it and never gave it back lol, so I decided just let her keep it and I'll get a new one.Of course it's not as powerful as a gas backpack blower or one of those ridiculous lawnmower-looking absolutely insanely powerful push blowers, but if you're in a situation where you need that much power you're not even going to be looking at this one lol. Perfect for medium sized yards, and you never need to worry about batteries or gas, just dragging a cord around.Battery lawn tools just aren't there yet, we had a black/Decker battery weedwhacker and sorry but that thing was just a joke lol, so isn't every other battery yard tool I've used. So until batteries can match house power, I'll gladly drag a cord around.
Super light and compact. Very easy to store in the original box - does not take up much space at all. So light that when I took it out of the box I thought it was going to be weak and not able to do anything. It not only did, but did it with flying colors. I cleaned my garage with it, then my deck, then the area around my front door. In minutes. It is powerful, produces a strong stream of directional air, and does an absolutely wonderful job. It is CORDED, and you'll need to have your own cord, which I did.My GF has a battery-operated leaf blower, which is way more expensive than this one. It is also much weaker, takes a long time to charge the battery, and depletes the battery in no time. In other words, it’s a joke. I’d go with this B&D any day. This is my second B&D leaf blower (the first one was a winner too!!!). I absolutely love it! For the price, it’s a total steal.
Honestly, I almost didn’t buy this because of the negative reviews. If you sort by 1 star it is literally review after review of, “IT DIDNT COME WITH A CORD!” It says it does not come with a cord, so all those reviews brought the rating down due to users not reading the description. The other issue I found customers complaining about was the cord retention and how their extension cord plug does not fit through the area where the cord retention is located. Okay. It is not supposed to. The instructions tell you to wrap the cord around the cord retention loop by putting the cord through the gap, not to stick the plug through the gap. Not reading the instructions resulted in customers negatively reviewing this product, which is lame.Anyway, it is a pretty powerful leaf blower for the price. I don’t have a huge yard but I do get a lot of leaves piling up everywhere and this leaf blower was able to clear them all without issue. My yard looks SO good, like someone straight up vacuumed it!The leaf blower is not heavy at all and is simple to use. It uses only 7.0 amps so a 16 awg extension cord that can handle 10-13 amps is really all you need. While I have only used it twice, I really like it. I hope I lasts for a while, but if not, at least it was relatively inexpensive.
This is one of the better deals I have ever gotten. I assumed from the low price that I'd use it for small, easy chores that could be done better with a broom. I never expected the force and mph to be this powerful. It easily took care of the biggest lawn jobs I had. Here's the thing: it doesn't come with an extension cord. OK fine, I have one. It doesn't come with a suction attachment to vacuum up the leaves or a collection bag. You know the kind that becomes so over loaded with leaves that it's too heavy to haul around, And when you try to empty the bag the zipper breaks and renders the bag useless.Who needs all the trouble that comes with those additions. This blower does what you want it to do-----blow the leaves. Its simplicity might be the reason it is so inexpensive. I love it! Finally you get a product that is better than it purports to be.
My workhorse 6.5 lb, 200 mph, years old two speed E-Max leaf blower is dying (and they don't make 'em anymore). My back is getting older. I wanted a replacement leaf blower and vacillated between the 225 mph 8.5 lb multiple-speed Toro and the 4.5 lb, 180 mph, single speed Black+Decker. More than a $50 price difference. I finally chose the Black+Decker and am very pleased with it so far. Don't know if it will last years but my fingers are crossed. The Black+Decker 180 mph is just fine for moving leaves, the 4.5 lbs is great on my back, and I'm sure I'll get used to the single speed -- and love the $50+ savings. I would highly recommend the Black+Decker leaf blower. (Note: It has no vacuum which is fine with me.)
