  I ordered this chain piece cutter by accident. It looks very similar to the zipper jig, which is what I intended to order. I decided to keep it, as I do patchwork piecing and it will come in handy. I expect it will be a huge time saver.

  Love this tool. Has a lever that attaches the suction cup to your tables surface. Then you just have to pull your chain from behind your machine and lower the thread connector to the blade. Easy easy!

  This is my second gypsy cutter. It makes chain piecing so fast! The only thing I don’t like about it, although it does come with 5 replacement blades which are tiny diamond shaped, when they are used up, I think the whole cutter would need replaced. The old style took easily obtained one sided razor blades.

  I bought this to cut threads quickly when chain-piecing. The unit functions as expected but the screwdriver that is supplied doesn't work. It seems that the head of the screw isn't deep enough or the head of the screw is stripped because the screwdriver doesn't bite into the head so that the screw can be turned. The item appears to be unused so perhaps it is a manufacturing issue. I'm going to contact the seller before returning because I will need to have access to the replacement blades at some point. I'll update my review after I hear from the seller.

  It's mostly perfect! The only issue is the blade that it came with seems a little dull. I expected them to be really sharp. I have to push a bit on it to get the threads to cut, but I can live with that. :)
